About

We built the tool we needed as creators.

Scenemarrow is a small team in Los Angeles. We started because we were spending more time editing clips than recording them.

The problem we kept running into.

Every creator we knew was recording long-form content but publishing it late or not at all on short-form. The bottleneck was always the same: finding the good moments inside two hours of footage, then clipping, captioning, and reformatting each one. It was four to six hours per episode. Most creators skipped it.

We tried every existing tool. Some were fast but inaccurate. Others were accurate but required professional editing knowledge. None of them let a single person go from raw recording to five posted clips in under an hour.

So we built Scenemarrow. The name comes from the idea that good content is already inside your long video, the way marrow is inside bone. You just need a way to get it out cleanly.

The team

Jasmine Whitfield, CEO and co-founder

Jasmine Whitfield

CEO, Co-founder

Jasmine ran content strategy for a mid-sized podcast network for four years before founding Scenemarrow. She built the original clip-detection prototype out of necessity after spending a weekend manually cutting 11 episodes.

Dev Rao, CTO and co-founder

Dev Rao

CTO, Co-founder

Dev previously built video processing infrastructure at a production tools startup. He designed the audio-energy scoring model and the smart reframe pipeline that makes Scenemarrow's vertical conversion accurate.

Bea Harmon, Head of Product

Bea Harmon

Head of Product

Bea ran product at a livestreaming tool before joining Scenemarrow. She's the reason the workflow stays at three steps instead of twelve. She talks to early-access creators weekly and translates what they need into the roadmap.

How we work

Respect the creator's time

Every decision in the product starts with: does this save or cost the creator time? Features that add steps without clear output get cut.

Stay small deliberately

Three people who know the product deeply beats a team of ten who know it less. We'll hire only when a role is genuinely blocked without someone new.

Ship the right default

The first output should be good enough to post without edits. Customization is available, but the default setting should be publishable.

Talk to early users weekly

We do a standing session with early access creators every week. The product roadmap is built from what they're trying to do, not from what we think they should want.
